Problem & Objective


The client aimed to validate a concept for a Video Intelligence MVP that could integrate surveillance analytics with workforce management.
Existing tools were fragmented — making it difficult for managers to monitor training progress, ensure compliance, and quickly analyze incidents.

My goal was to design a proof-of-concept platform that unified video analytics, compliance tracking, and employee performance insights. The focus was on testing usability, scalability, and business value through an initial MVP release that could evolve into a full enterprise product.

My goal was to design a proof-of-concept platform that unified video analytics, compliance tracking, and employee performance insights. The focus was on testing usability, scalability, and business value through an initial MVP release that could evolve into a full enterprise product.

Process & Design Exploration

The project followed a lean UX approach focused on rapid validation. My process included:
Research → Define → Wireframe → Prototype → Test → Iterate

  1. Research: Conducted contextual inquiries with compliance officers and supervisors to identify workflow challenges.

  2. Define: Created personas, journey maps, and prioritized MVP features.

  3. Wireframe: Built low-fidelity flows to validate navigation and key interactions.

  4. Prototype: Designed high-fidelity UI using Untitled UI components, ensuring scalability.

  5. Test & Iterate: Conducted pilot testing with 10 supervisors, refining based on usability feedback.

To ensure the MVP addressed real user pain points, I collaborated with compliance officers, security managers, and IT stakeholders to prioritize must-have features over nice-to-haves.
The discovery phase led to defining three core goals:

  1. Reduce manual video review time

  2. Improve visibility into employee compliance

  3. Validate user engagement with AI-driven analytics

I created personas, IA, and user flows, Wireframes focusing on streamlined interactions and reduced cognitive load.
The MVP design emphasized:

  • Core AI tagging module for automated insights

  • Minimalist dashboard for long-duration use

  • Quick action cards for supervisors to track incidents and training progress

  • Modular structure enabling easy scalability post-validation

The high-fidelity design leveraged Untitled UI system, with consistent typography (FS Siena + Inter) and WCAG-compliant color contrast for clarity.

Outcome & Impact

The MVP successfully demonstrated the potential of an AI-driven surveillance and compliance solution.
Key outcomes included:

  • 60% reduction in time spent reviewing training compliance videos

  • Positive user feedback from pilot testing with 10 supervisors

  • Validated market demand, leading to the next phase of enterprise development

The project proved the business case for scaling the platform into a full-fledged AI video operations suite, establishing a new UX standard for surveillance technology.
